MEET PASTOR BRETT
& MINDY RICKEY
Brett Rickey has been the Lead Pastor of Highland Park Church since February of 2009. Brett’s ministry blends his experiences from eleven years in corporate life with his nine years as the founding pastor of FamilyChurch in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He also serves as a coach and mentor to pastors of churches across the country. Brett’s communication style is described as casual and approachable as he tries to teach through God’s timeless truths in a way that is relevant for our society today. His heart is to see a church, representing all generations, with a passion for Jesus and their local community. He believes a person is only truly fulfilled when they understand their God-given purpose and are reaching toward their God-given potential.

Brett completed his undergrad at Southern Nazarene University receiving a BA in Management and earned an MA in Practical Theology from Oral Roberts University. He is also a published author whose credits include Chasing Cool: Examining the Pursuits of Your Heart, Stay in the Yard, and Boomerang.

Mindy holds her degree in Accounting. As a CPA, she worked in various business settings starting with public accounting and hospital administration. Mindy is passionate about the unleashing the power of prayer in anyone she meets; she always has time to talk; she enjoys a good pumpkin spice latte, and she loves spending time with her amazing family. Mindy is a breast-cancer survivor. She currently serves as District Treasurer for the Florida District Church of the Nazarene.

Brett and Mindy met when Mindy was checking out her new college: Southern Nazarene University. They quickly started dating and were married two years later. They have three daughters and a son-in-law: Jessica, Colton, Kelsey, Hope, and two grand-babies, Adeline and Asher.
