Marriage & Family Therapist
Jim and his wife, Karen, moved back to Lakeland (their former hometown), in 2018, after leaving in 1986 to serve in youth and family ministry in Atlanta, GA, and then Ft. Wayne, IN. As an expression of his love for God, Jim has a passion for helping people, teenagers and older, to build healthy, loving relationships in all stages of life. His warm, compassionate style of therapy is based on the truth that connection through loving-kindness is the dynamic that leads to radical life change and to living one's best life. He believes that as we show love to ourselves and others, it brings life to us and them. Jim has helped disconnected, high conflict couples on the edge of divorce to reconnect and become caring communicators; those who feel stuck in life to find their way forward; the anxious and depressed to find relief and renewed hope; parents and teens caught in adversarial cycles to find harmony; those caught up in addiction to porn or substances to be set free; young adults having difficulty launching to find their path, and more.
